As you may be aware we have had to change the way our batch follow/unfollow functionality worked.

Most of our new functionality is now live for our users.

ManageFlitter New Batch Select Feature

This new functionality includes a "Remote Account Management" feature where you will be able to create a set of criteria, or a pre-selected list of accounts you wish to follow or unfollow - and an account manager at ManageFlitter will manually review and action individually as per your requirements...

We have had many requests to add the option to exclude “all” people that you have previously followed on Twitter. "I don't want to refollow people who I've ever followed before, not only people I'm currently following" has been a common customer request.  

We are happy to announce this feature is now live!

Exclude all people that you have previously followed.

Before this new update you were only allowed to exclude accounts that you have followed in the last 1-30 days.

Please note:

1. If you are an existing ManageFlitter user your follower account history will start from 30 days ago and continue to...

Like any communication platform, Twitter faces problems with spam. 

For Twitter these issues lie in 3 main areas:
  • Large volumes of spam Tweets (particularly @mentions)
  • Fake accounts with millions of followers
  • Direct Message (DM) spam from fake accounts
  • Twitter have done a reasonable job at squashing spam Tweets.

    While it’s really hard to detect spam in 140 characters, all links included in Tweets are passed through Twitter’s shortener. This allows them to retroactively mark links as phishing or spam which has really helped to limit the ability of spammers to get...

    Overview of Upcoming ManageFlitter Changes:

    Twitter has made some changes to its "Automation Rules and Best Practices" 

    Unfortunately ManageFlitter will no longer be able to provide the ability to select multiple accounts to follow or unfollow as indicated in the screenshot below.

    Sometime between 5 September 2013 and 9 September 2013 we will be removing the ability to select multiple accounts to follow and unfollow.

    Check out ManageFlitters Tweet Analytics feature now! 

    ManageFlitter's Tweet Analytics feature is available to Pro and Business accounts only. Tweet Analytics allows you to track tweet keywords over time and view individual tweets during volume spikes.

    Today we are going to track the keyword "ManageFlitter" and view a breakdown of a tweet keyword analysis.

    Simply login to ManageFlitter and navigate to the "Analytics" drop down menu and select the "Tweet Analytics" page.

    Enter your keyword in the field provided.

    The PowerPost functionality will assist you in scheduling your tweets for the most appropriate time ensuring maximum engagement with your Twitter followers.

    PowerPost analyses when your followers are most active on Twitter so you are able to post Tweets for maximum reach.

    With ManageFlitter's "Copy Followers" tool you can analyse and copy the followers of a competitor's account.

    Copying followers opens the opportunity for a reciprocal follow back and communicating with like minded tweeps. These followers may also view the advantages of your business or account over your competitor!

    Follow the steps below to get started:

    1. Navigate to the follow page under the Manage drop down menu.

    2. Select the "Copy Followers" filter.

    You can discover your most influential Twitter followers with a ManageFlitter Pro plan

    Our influential filter determines the popularity or 'influence' an account has by the people that follow them on Twitter. This is often referred in the Twittersphere as 'Klout'.

    You can discover all your influential Twitter followers in 2 simple steps!

    1) Navigate to the Follow page on ManageFlitter and select  'Everyone Following You'.

    2) In the Order menu select the Influence filter.
